Absence

"Absence" is a project created to test human relationships between that of the visual and digital. It is a map of public space (spheres of social life) and virtual space (spheres of digital influence) that question the dialect and genuine interaction amongst those who exist in the space of Southbank, Queensland. The imaginary grid artistically represents an imaginary significance of all techno centric data collected at 0800hrs, 1200hrs, and 1600hrs on a habitual weekday. The colours interact and formulate layers of activity within Southbank's natural urban paradise.

This group project combines the talent of five visual communication designers in order to map the South Bank area in Brisbane, following an adventure path. The outcome was created with the intention of exhibiting in art galleries as a talking piece to raise awareness about our current society in reference to the rise of technology.
